MARQUES - Cervejaria Marisqueira

The Marquês is a Porto Covo classic and a must go if you are in the area. Sits on the main square and it is a difficult gig to try and get in as they don’t take bookings. Be there early to secure a table. Food wise you can go for proper dishes or chose the “petiscos” or sharing plates (my favorite) they are equally awesome drawing their quality from the proximity to the sea. The fish, seafood but also the meet is masterfully cooked and presented with your option of wine or the best draught beer around. Service is old school, hectic but efficient. Pricey but worth it!

Do not expect michelin food, beassured of quality and quantity, as well as a very attentive service with very good wines by the glass.
