Hong Kong 97 - Portland

I have eaten at this restaurant twice now and I am returning again. The food is wonderful and service is great. The chow mein is with bean sprouts. When I was growing up, my mom would take us out for Chinese food and this just brings back old memories. The fried foods are very clean tasting and not oily and the batter is very moist and delicious. This is the best fried food from a restaurant I have ever had.

Hello, as a lady with a food allergy, this is one of the safest and most delicious places ever. Their orange chicken is to die for with a sweet, savory, tangy crunch and a tender steamy hunk of chicken in the middle. Their crab puffs aren't too hard and portioned well. My fiance often gets the general so's and loves the seasoning and love put into every dish. As well as the lovely staff who will take every request and question with ease to soothe your worried mind on allergies, we have been loyal customers to Hong Kong 97 for about 7 years. I hope you read this and try them too.

The food is delicious and healthy. The atmosphere is typical "Chinese American style. We ordered to go but the staff was friendly and helpful.
