Gluten Free Gem - Portland

Absolutely loved this place!! I walked here from the Oregon Convention Center because I was so excited to try it. I tried some zucchini bread, salted caramel vanilla cake, soft pretzel, and the cutest little Pride rainbow sugar cookie. I was so thrilled with everything! The cake and bread were so moist and full of flavor!! The staff was so friendly, and the shop was so beautiful and clean. If I ever come back to Portland, this will be one of my first stops to stock up on more amazing goodies!! Would recommend them to everyone, whether you eat gluten free or not!!

After having to give up gluten due to dietary restrictions and then finding out my daughter had Celiac disease, I thought I would have to say goodbye to many of my beloved dishes, including Tiramisu. However, I recently discovered your Tiramisu and can confidently say it is the best I have ever tasted, gluten-free or not. I have tried Tiramisu in upscale restaurants before, but yours surpasses them all. Thank you for this delicious treat!

So good! The biscuit was more delicious than most flour buscuits I've had. The chocolate caramel cake was bomb. The quiche crust was so buttery and flakey better than some flour versions I've had. Nothing had the gross sawdust flavor common in gf foods! Service was friendly, helpful and patient. Thank you!

Gem created our stunning and delectable wedding cake. We decided on a tiered carrot cake with pineapple filling, which was absolutely fantastic. In addition to the main cake, we also ordered sheet cakes in lemon raspberry, chocolate salted caramel, and carrot flavors. The guests could not stop praising the cakes, with many not even realizing they were gluten-free. The best part was getting to enjoy the leftovers!

I absolutely adore the staff and the amazing food at GEM!!! This restaurant is committed to excellent customer service and using the highest quality ingredients. I have been dining here for more than 3 years and truly feel like a part of the family. Thank you for making it so much simpler to accommodate dietary restrictions.
