O Churrasco - Ponta Delgada

Great food. Lived the limpets.. .one of the best I have tried while in the Azores. Also the octopus was great as well as the octopus salad. It was a bit expensive but we really enjoyed the food. Service was good as well. I would recommend it!

Visited 2 times, tried mixed grill and grilled chicken with some salad and fries. Everything was well prepared and there was a lot to eat. The waiters were all running around and serving different tables, which was a bit confusing. They were friendly though and we didn’t have to wait too long although the place was crowded.

We fell upon El Churasso after searching for an hour at 6pm on a Sunday. What a welcome and enjoyable respite. Steaks were great and food was good. The Sangria was fantastic! Best we had on the island. Definitely wish we had time to go back for more! Service was friendly and fast. They had a good crowd but we barely waited. The staff was legitimately appreciative of our service.

I was regular in the last summer and this is the first time I took my wife since we were reunited after 2 years of separation through the pandemic. our server was evelina, but we were also visited by another server, both are in training and their trainer would occasionally show smaller details to improve their presentations and interactions. the service was a highlight and exceptional, especially as it was relatiw new for the work there. she was aware that she was a Helicopter server (a pet peeve of me, as a server floats over me when I dine) and we generally waited less than 30 seconds when we looked after a new one. the food was excellent (I had the chicken au gratin and my partner the fishfilets hakefish). the food arrived in time, was hot and did not require any additional seasoning or seasoning. we will return to the future (we live here now). during a visit we recommend at least one visit to relax and enjoy.

We had high expectations as this was recommended by our tour guide back with other good reviews. The octopus saved this rating. Went for dinner, service was friendly. Unfortunately the food left us wanting more flavour. We ordered the hot chicken wings as an appetizer, the roasted octopus with potatoes and grilled pork ribs with fries. The chicken wings didn't come out until the end of the meal and we're overcooked and very salty. The sauce itself was mediocre and not particularly spicy. The roasted octopus was the most flavourful dish with lots of garlic and very tender. The pork ribs were unseasoned (no salt or pepper) and topped with a lemon wedge and salted pepper. Perhaps that's the traditional way of eating it but it lacked seasoning. Also, they were not cooked fresh and arrived lukewarm at our table. Seemed to be more of a tourist spot, not that many locals. Located close to the city centre and the atmosphere was good.
