Tadpole's Catfish Barn

I only gave 4/5 starts only because the building is so large, I had hoped for more of a variety in selection, however, the service was excellent and the food was very yummy. My partner tried alligator for the first time and I was impressed that it was offered at a buffet, even if by request only. We will be back, I'm certain!

Wished there were more healthy choices. Most of the food is fried. They do have a salad bar. It was ok. The seating is very close. So cover your food as people walk by.

The catfish was terrible. The place was very crowded on a Saturday afternoon and I thought that meant the food must be great. I was really disappointed. The food, though plentiful, was incredibly tasteless. The cooks must not have been introduced to seasoning. Meatless ribs, some kind of dressing that I have yet to identify, and yes catfish that could not be verified as really being catfish. Yet, the joint was packed with diners. I will say that the waitstaff, though somewhat, overwhelmed were doing a steller job of keeping up with things. Overall though there are many better places around to get catfish and that is where I'll going from now on.

THE best catfish I've had in years!!! Service was great too! And did I mention the catfish? The best! All around a wonderful dinner experience!

The food was great as usual. We used to go here a lot with our loved ones that has passed on.
