Great eating and atmosphere with a view environment.

Excellent restaurant in the clubhouse lounge at the Wild Horse resort. Service is excellent as the food is also very tasty. I had the Cuban sandwich and my partner had the shrimp salad, which she raves about. Sit on the patio and enjoy the sensory of the putting green and the first tee.

While I have played Whirlwind Golf Course at the Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass Resort, I had never dined at Sivlik Grill, in the club house. While doing a February “stay-cation” at the resort, we walked much of the property, and decided to stop into Sivlik Grill for lunch. That was a good decision. First, the view over the golf course, to the Estrella Mountains is gorgeous, and then the food came close. We started with a glass of the Sonoma Cutrer Russian River Chardonnay, and the 14 Hands Washington Chardonnay, and added the Trapiche Broquel Mendoza Malbec and the Uppercut Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. While I think that the prime alcoholic focus is on spirits, these were not bad options, and differed from the offerings around the hotel’s bars. I had the Sivlik Burger w/ bacon, green chile, cheese, lettuce, tomato on a grilled “signature Sivlik bun and had the onions on the side – this was a very good burger, cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Now, a big Zinfandel would have been a better wine choice, than the Malbec, or the Cab, my choices were a bit limited. My wife had the Sriracha Turkey w/ house sriracha, avocado, baby kale, bacon and jack cheese – also very good, and she gave a nod to the Malbec with this sandwich. Service was very good, and our server very attentive. Other than maybe playing a round on this gorgeous day, things could not have been better. Whether golfing, or just staying at the resort, we will be back.

Really good food. I like the cheese steak. They have sweet potato fries too! Service was good too. Prices are not bad for a golf course.
