La Madeleine - Phoenix

La Madeleine is now closed to normal restaurant service. Only handling catering.

This was my favorite lunch spot downtown when I was performing jury duty service this past summer! Their grilled cheese sandwich was the BEST (never greasy but also not dry) every time I ordered it and I liked their creamy mushroom soup a lot, too! I think parking might be an issue but I just might venture back down there as I have such fond memories! I don't have his name (should have made a point to get it) but there was one employee, in particular, who always welcomed me with a warm smile and attitude you order at the register and they bring your food to you at the counter or at a table if that is your choice!

Unfortunately this business had a sign up that said they are closed to the public. Nothing on yelp indicated they were closed. Trying to find a spot to park in downtown Phoenix is hard enough, when I finally found parking and walked to them about a half mile I learned they were closed.

Place was great, until they randomly closed their doors without notice. Guess my monthly $3 off and loaf of bread were short lived.

A lot of my soup was spilled in the bag which was unfortunate because I really love the French onion soup.
