Hap's Pit Barbecue Restaurant - Phoenix

This place was horrible. Burger special $8 comes with NO FRIES NO DRINK. GOT TO PAY EXTRA FOR CHEESE. You can't get lettuce or tomato either. There suggestion get coleslaw on it for an extra $1.50-$2. Burger was small and dry AF. AC was broke felt like a swamp inside

We went here over the weekend. Starving and craving BBQ, we randomly chose it based on location to freeway. We all got the pulled pork and it was probably one of the best I have ever had. (I have had a lot of pulled pork in my life). VERY big portion of meet, spilling over, soaking the bun. That kind of multi-napkin sandwich. BBQ is more of the traditional saucy type, vinegar base...slightly sweet. Perfect spices. They beans were great...cornbread was okay. If you are looking for a new spot near the airport...you will not be disappointed. They have a lot of take home larger portion options too. Saw a couple walk out with a rack of ribs. Anyhow...give it a go, was delicious.

The food is excellent at this restaurant they have a lot of different barbecues they're got a barbecue beans 7 bean barbecue's oh it's so good and delicious you will really enjoy this if you love barbecue

I feel swindled, I 'm writing this as I 'm currently sitting in the restaurant. I ordered the Haps Burrito, which is just whatever meat you choose wrapped in a tortilla. That 's it...Apparently this constitutes a burrito and is worthy of the almost $9 dollars they charge for it. I should have known I was in for being grifted when I saw that the 2.99 GOURMET potato chips are simply just bags of Ms. Vicki 's Kettle chips. I will not be a returning customer.

I got pulled pork on this trip. The food is good and reasonably priced. I was there during the lunch rush so there was a little bit of a wait, but it was just a few minutes.
