Good Indian curry and naan in the neighborhood. We usually order takeout/delivery. The dining room was empty the two times we've been there and the place was too dim and quiet to be welcoming.
Worst online ordering experience I have ever had. I placed an order through Chownow via Tandoor's online site, and the estimated time was over an hour! We drove 20 minutes to pick up from the restaurant only to be told that they are out of chicken! An Indian restaurant out of chicken at 7:30 on a Saturday night. I spoke to the man at the counter first who was barely audible and who I could not understand. I had to ask him to speak up and repeat what he was saying dozens of times. He let me know that they were out of chicken (we order two chicken entrees) and that he tried calling me 4 times. First of all, they should update their online affiliates when they run out of something (especially an Indian restaurant that runs out of chicken which would be a large portion of their orders), and secondly I never received a phone call. This person was completely unapologetic and just wanted me to go away. I asked to speak to a manager and this individual really did not want to get the manager and I had to ask 5 times! As bad as my experience was with him, the manager was even worse (when he finally came over to me). He kept just saying there was no chicken and that's that...again completely unapologetic about the situation. I said to him okay, that's fine but I just want to let you know that I will be posting about this on every online review site that I could find. Then here comes the best part...now they have chicken!!! He tells me I misunderstood and hat they have chicken and it's just not cooked and will have it for me in 10 minutes! I said to him that you just told me you didn't have any chicken at all and now you have it because I am going to do an online review? He said it was okay and that they have it now. I said can you guarantee that it will be 10 minutes (recall above that he JUST told me 10 minutes and that I already waited over an hour and drove 20 minutes to pick this up). He tells me that it will probably take a while longer. So I tell him that's ridiculous and you lied to me and I just need you to cancel the order. He tells me I need to go through the site and that he could not do it. I start to leave and made some unkind vulgar remarks because I was understandably frustrated, and after I walked out the manager gave me the middle finger! Sure enough I went back in and yelled at him again and asked him to step outside and of course this coward and liar declined. If you have a restaurant that has affiliations with online services and you run out of something, you need to update these sites when it happens. If for some reason you make a mistake and fail to do this, you should be apologetic about it and not be an a**hole. Obviously, I would never recommend doing business with this restaurant. Also, there were only 4 people dining here on a Saturday night and that's pretty telling.
Went there on a business lunch a few times. Food was great! Last time I went, we saw roaches everywhere. 2 crawled on our table and one on the front counter. We laughed it off and didnt make much of a fuss. We did notify the staff and they awkwardly apologized. It didn't seem sincere. This was in the middle of winter. This place has a big roach problem and they need to fix. I would like to come back but I won't be for a long time until they fix that. And apologize to your customers
This is absolutely insane. We have waited 2.75 hours for our order. When I called to ask if our order was coming, they claimed they were delayed due to the snow. The snow stopped hours ago. I drove home and it took me FIVE extra minutes. When I called to complain, they claimed the driver was out for delivery. 45 minutes later...no delivery. They didn't apologize. we've spent over 400 dollars here over the year...unacceptable. Please do not give this establishment your business if this is how they are going to treat customers. I get life happens, but then you call and make it right by comping the order. They wouldn't even give us a $5 discount. Nor would he let me speak to the manager...awful customer service.
