Modo Mio Taverna - Philadelphia

If I could rate 10 stars I would! Chef's food is absolutely amazing, Jen is one of the most welcoming people I have ever met (her espresso martinis are to die for), and the ambiance brings the entire atmosphere together! A hidden gem and on my top 3 lists of best places to dine at in Philly.

WOW best dinner ever! Our server was gracious and knowledgeable. Our last dish took a really long time to come out, I'm sure there was a mix up in the kitchen BUT the food and service made up for it. Will definitely be back.

What a great experience outstanding menu. Full bar fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Service was outstanding. And chef/ ownerWas cool enough and check on our tables.

We visited Philadelphia for the weekend and our friend Josh suggested this restaurant. We were 3 couples having a lovely evening that only got better at this restaurant. The food was excellent, some of us asked for the “chef choice” were they select your meal after asking if the have items to avoid The wine list was from southern Italy no barolo or Brunello ? , we had a couple of nice bottles of wine and nice deserts The servers could not have been nicer and friendlier Overall a great experience Hope to be back soon in Philly and to this taverna. We will return with more friends hoping for another lovely evening

This place made my dreams come true. Wanted a spur of the moment night in my neighborhood that we love but rarely take advantage of. After 20 minutes of wandering with no success (no reservations on a Friday night) we came up to modo. Got the last two seats at the bar at 830. The host said we should try the shut up and eat happy hour at 9pm. You pay $10 per plate but have no idea what you 'll get. It 's whatever is left in the kitchen at that point in time. We said hell yeah let 's try it. It was so fun!!!! We got two incredible dishes that typically would 've cost us $23 $32!!! We got gnocchi with ragu, and a nice piece of tuna with green beans pistachios and some added polenta which was just leftover I guess because it was not in the dish description. What a treat.... Expensive dish for $10. Couldn 't get over how great it all was. This is a hidden gem. I I wish I had known about this deal years ago.... We loved every bite ! Service was very very good too. The mussels in the creamy spicy red sauce were to die for. And the charcuterie we got for free at the beginning was a HUGE win. I just love this spot it 's so cozy and cute too. Can 't wait to come back for shut up and eat!
