Buttermilk Bake Shop - Petersburg

I had a piece of hummingbird cake for my birthday and it was delicious. Oscar had a pumpkin heart-shaped biscuit to help me celebrate.

Went here by default. The business I intended to go to was closed. I knew this place was here my wife had talked about it. So since I went out early on a Saturday morning to treat her I came here as a backup. I am so glad I did. The donuts were fresh and delicious. So So good. They had a great variety of flavors. My wife said the raspberry glaze was her favorite. Mine was chocolate glazed. Will definitely be going back to try some other flavors.

Highly recommend. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the desserts. They recommended the Hummingbird cake and it was phenomenal-rich with the perfect balance of coconut, pecan, and banana (flavors that I don't like much individually, but it works so well together). I tried the cinnamon roll and the carrot cake cupcake. Everything was rich and perfectly moist. I paired them with soy milk as it would have been a little too sweet for my tastes

My husband and I just moved to the area and wanted to try out this cute spot. Do. Not. Sleep. On. The. Vegan. Donuts. I REPEAT! Don?t sleep on the vegan donuts! A cute Cake for my Daughter's birthday. It was incredibly delicious!! I don't even know how many cakes or other items I have ordered over the years but I can say I have NEVER been disappointed!! Everything is always perfect! Thanks for another delicious cake! Everyone loved it, always!
