Refuge Small Bar - Perth

Great fit-out, layout and a relatively quiet spot away from the main supermarket section of Subiaco Square. I think it's still undiscovered as a breakfast spot (feels like a bar that's also open early), and only a few people were picking up takeaways at the time. Unlike a couple of nearby cafes there was no friendly chat from the one staff member. We decided to have breakfast - lovely fresh egg and bacon wraps with coffees. Unfortunately the black coffee was bitter. Will hopefully get an opportunity to return and try some full meals and see what the bar is like by night.

Lovely small bar. Friendly staff, nice decor and casual feel, good beer section and reasonably priced. Also very convenient location next to subi station. I will be making this my "go to".

So disappointed. Wanted this place to be awesome. Came for breakfast coffee was ok. There was only one other table and breakfasts took 40 mins (for a burger and scrambled eggs) food arrived was ok small servings. Chips arrived 5 minutes later. Scramble super oily. Mushroom side for $4 was about a handful of buttering oily mushrooms. Really small unexciting meal. Hopefully this place sorts it out. Staff were nice and let us split bill.

???? Nice little find as we were walking by ! Amazing design inside, very industrial eclectic. We had a pastry and coffees. I had an iced long black and it literally lasted me all the way to Geraldton ☕️ Perfect. Not sure if they have matcha latte though. Will be back to try brunch! ????

I really like it here. The breakfast was perfect! also loving how the sun lights up the place giving it a warm friendly feel. Came again for a drink at night, the cheese selection & truffle honey is to die for! Not to mention the wine selection! Oh and the beer? LITTLE DOVE I LOVE YOU! 10/10 for service, the staff actually look like they want to be there! So excited for my new go-to little bar!  :)
