Pompano Joe's Seafood House

Pompano was within walking distance of our hotel so we decided to grab dinner here. Pompanos has been in PCB for many years so we knew it was an established business. After reviewing the menu the prices are very high, but it is right on Pier Park so that is expected for the area. We live in PC so we always have access to fresh seafood. This time we opted for a cheeseburger. We were very happy with our meals. The burger meat tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. It's a good size and you get a choice of two sides. It normally comes with coleslaw and fries but you can switch that out. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Pompanos is a great place to have a meal, some drinks, and watch the traffic (cars and people) along front beach. Minus one star because I ordered the house **** Mary which was posted on the chalkboard for $6.00, but I was charged $12.00.

Wasn 't too bad! The waiter was attentive and friendly. Food was good. I really liked their special sauce . Seemed a little pricey but that may just be me. The wait for our food wasn 't too long either, but business was rather slow already. I would be willing to come back provided I had the opportunity.

Server was great! Food not so much- we got an appetizer sampler and then went somewhere else. Reggae rolls had no flavor, tasted like boiled chicken with canned veggies inside. Mozzarella sticks were standard. The tuna dip wasn't a dip, it was a cold tuna salad served with pita- it was okay but not a hot dip. We were seated near the service area and could smell the floor mats. The whole place didn't have a pleasant smell upon entering, kind of stale and sour. Tourist trap definitely!

We walked over on the hunt for some seafood and this place was the first one we stumbled on, wait only being 20 min. We shopped at Ron Jon 's Surf shop next door until we received our 'your table is ready ' text. It was getting late and we had a little one with us so we knew we had to be fast. Waiter came, welcomed us in and asked for our drink order. We told him what we wanted and asked if we could go ahead and order. He told us know, he needed to go put our drinks in first and abruptly walked away. He comes back not more than 5 min later with our drinks and before we could say anything at all, he high tailed jt away. Once he finally returns again maybe 8-10 min later he asked for our order. The lights flicker in the restaurant and he closes his eyes and says I hope that electricity goes out so we can all go home. As we are sitting here, on vacation, after driving 4 hours to the beach, walking into this restaurant to have a waiter that you could clearly tell did not want to be there. As you can tell from above service was a zero (BUT the hostess was actually really sweet) so bump it up a star for her. Food was okay. We ordered a corn dog for our little one, blackened mahi sandwich and grouper Marsala. Husband said his Marsala was good, my mahi was very dry. Overall experience, probably wouldn 't go back.

Wish I could give 0 stars-Worst place ever! Do not waste your time or money. However, Charles our waiter was good.
