Papa Dan's Pizza - Palm Desert

The exterior signage really does not due justice to the place. You would expect a typical chain pizza but this is more like a family neighborhood bistro. Large selection of pizza pasta. Pizza quality high. Prices are a little steep for the pizza. Large wine selection reasonably priced, as well as full bar. Staff friendly but you are not fussed over. Charge 3.5% for credit card use to offset cc fees. Would return

Stopped by the other night for an appetizer and a pizza with a mixed experience. We ordered the goat cheese/artichoke appetizer balls which were not at all delicious and very expensive. To make matters worse, they brought us plates both of which were wet and covered in chunks of old food! Yuck. Rough way to start our first dining experience at this restaurant. Ordered a vegetable pizza, and that was delicious. The veggies were fresh, a medium slice, and they cooked perfectly on the pizza. Very nice. The service was spot on, and the atmosphere was relaxing and very Italian! We will definitely go back for more pizza.

The decor is incredible. The artwork on the wall will keep you entertained. The bread tasted great and was soft as could be. The pizza, according to my son who hates just about any pizza, was delicious. I agree with his assessment. The service was excellent and quite reasonably priced.

Good Italian take-out. Great salads, tasty thin crust pizza, and big portions. You will have leftovers! We have also dined in and thought the service was good.
