Bidrage med feedbackCan't say much. Google showed they were open, drove over from Jacksonville to check them out. Thursday evening for supper, should be a great time... but they were closed without a car in the lot. So either they've moved, closed or Google has their hours wrong.
Not much to say, their prime was tough as leather, no flavor and this was cooked medium. 3 others we were with also felt the same. Service was beyond bad, slow night, plenty of servers and yet our server was never around. Prices would suggest a quality establishment but sadly it's not. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
Food is over priced for the bland taste served cold...very disappointing it wasn't even busy. Even our waitress commented on the poor presentation of the prime rib that she sat down in front of my husband...it should have been sent back. Our waitress, however, was great but there was literally some controversy when we walked in the door, as to which waitress we should be sat w/ due to individual issues w/ each of the different waitresses. That, in itself, is not professional. Being that this is called the 1855 Rest Saloon...we thought for sure that this would have some kind of western decor but besides a few black white portraits there is nothing but dark brown dingy everything. If you're going to charge prime rib prices...please serve prime rib in a worthy establishment...we won't be coming back.
Upon arrival, couldnt decide whos section to seat us in. Apparently the wait staff was having issues from whining to over worked . I ordered the smoked Prime Rib. To quote the waitress who served it, it looked like it had been run over and stomped on. The only thing good was it was smoked. Wife ordered the chicken, very bland, and the 3 cheese mac was cold. For 65.00 including 2 drinks) i expected much better. Will never go back. And do not recommend this place. Nothing 1885 saloon western) about this establishment.
Arrived shortly after 6 o'clock on Friday. Promptly seated, given menus and ordered drinks. From there it was all down hill, our server disappeared, apparently to another area of the restaurant. Finally, got the attention of another server to take our order. Several tables were seated after we were, recieved thier orders and left the restaurant before we were served. We ordered the 1855 Ribeye special. The flavor of the steak was nothing to write home about. The quality of the cut of steak was sub-par. The only positive of the night was our second server who provided quality service even though we were not in her assigned area. I will say management did apologized and provided a small discount. These comments are my opinion of the food and service provided this particular evening.
