Peppers Mexicali Cafe - Pacific Grove

The restaurant offers delicious food at a reasonable price for the area. I highly recommend their margaritas and tacos al carbon. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is outstanding. It's a popular spot for weeknight dinners and is very welcoming to children.

This was our first time at this restaurant, as we were just passing through on our way back home to Southern California. Our waiter, Andrew, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. The food was excellent! The chicken and steak were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Everything was exceptional! We will definitely return if we are ever in the area again!

My wife and I ended up at the busy restaurant without a reservation, but we were seated after a 20-minute wait. We enjoyed watching the locals as we browsed the menu. Our table was perfect, and we ordered combo meals and cocktails. We were served chips and salsa while eating. For dessert, we tried something called Pupusette which was delicious. The server warned us about the portion size and suggested sharing, which was a great idea. We left the restaurant satisfied and with fond memories of our meal.

Gd food, gd service, noisy. O.k. with me. No biggie. Would go back. Killer ultimate margaritas. 1 does the trick. Im still messed up. Reservations were at 6:00. ?

Normally don 't post reviews, but was inspired by a contrasting experience with the Grill at Point Pinos .Excellent.Excellent food, staff, etc.Former manager and waiter, cook, dishwasher, etc. of a Mexican restaurant and an avid home cook and lover of Mexican cuisine.Food was excellent across the board great Chile Verde! VERY well trained attentive staff more chips? answering questions, borrowing a piece of paper with a joke, checking on our experience, etc. and on leaving, two busboys, a waitress, a hostess, and a bartender all in passing all thanked us for coming and wished us a good evening that 's impressive staff training! Fun atmosphere and decor, PACKED, but accommodating. Great food, and drinks! especially for the price! I can understand why it was packed!Closest thing I can get to a negative is I dislike it when restaurants place a taco on a mixed plate in a way that a sauce softens the crisp taco shell but it 's a common practice I know.We 'll definitely be back!
