Pescheria Biagio De Luca - Otranto

Great cheap fish. We were on holiday in Otranto and were looking for a place to eat quality fish while avoiding the classic tourist places in the centre. The place is created by taking advantage of the external spaces of a fish shop and is simple and well furnished. The fish is very fresh and the quality is excellent. Places are limited so it is best to book in advance.

Dinner for 4 on a Saturday evening in October. We celebrated a birthday in this typical restaurant/fishmonger. Magnificent linguine alle vongole! Magnificent fried octopus and squid! Fresh sea bream and John Dory, chosen from the stall then grilled minute-by-minute. Excellent value. Thank you for the welcoming.

For fish lovers just off the boat. We had an excellent time, very authentic and the cuisine is simply excellent. Perfect service and welcome, we highly recommend.

Had two wonderful meals here, including the best sea bream that I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection and rivals the offerings of any restaurant around the world. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Our second night we were joined by a party of thirty revellers and the staff had no problem accommodating notte them and the rest of the diners. To top everything off the “crumble di mela e frutti di bosca” is a simple, yet so tasty and satisfying dessert I’m going to try and replicate it when I get home!

Excellent fresh fish! Highly recommended for the baked mussels and sea bream. The sea bream was cooked perfectly! Crispy skin yet moist and flavourful.
