Bidrage med feedbackWe have chosen this restaurant based on proximity (we have overnight star) and reviews. we were impressed positively by the position (very well-kept) and the goodness of the typical dishes of Emilian tradition. we ate chaplains (really excellent,) braised and outlines. I didn't take the brasate photo because it was so inviting to let me forget. the atmosphere is pleasant, the owner is a friendly person who really cares about his business, the quality of his kitchen and customers. when we understand around Ferrara, we will definitely return to this restaurant

We visited for first time last Sunday for lunch on return from hay collection for pet sheep in Prov Bologna. A most pleasant lunch experience awaited, on the outskirts of Ostellato. Prov Ferrara, just off the RA8 Ferrara Comacchio road. Excellent parking where a number of cars were already, 1300/1 pm, we were greeted immediately by the owner and shown various tables and we decided to sit outside in the amazing wisteria covered dining area. Our host, most professional and efficient informed us of the menu, pasta all hand made, plus the secondi, all covering an excellent range with 2 exceptions which I will ignore. He advised a trio of the capellaci and we both had a 4some of the primi. Delicious pasta, pumkin filled spinich and ricotta and asparagus filled plus a mini lasagne of courgette. The water and wine arrived immediately together with a small beer for my husband who was thirsty from our 2 hour hay trip. The beer was delicious km.0 from his son's micro brewery. Highly recommended. We continued with roast duck plus roast guinea fowl both with oven potatoes, more like rustic chips, excellent, a little gravy and I ordered side med. veg as we were going to share the pots but both plates had the pots. We didn't intend pud but when nougat semi freddo was mentioned my husband couldn't resist and I had the lovely home made cheese cake, everything is home made here. Coffee the way we like it, Americana espresso in larger cup with extra hot water on side. 76 euro for a wonderful lunch. I had asked a friend before who lives localy and he advised the restaurant was a good choice with excellent cuisine. Highly recommended and open to all including 3 local farmers with 3 large John Deeres plus an assortment of diners. Great service from a very attentive staff. We are looking forward to our next visit plus visits in the winter by the fireplaces. The host is proud if his establishment and very rightly so. Bravi Tutti.
