Bidrage med feedbackGood food and service on a cold Orange night. There is lots to like about this restaurant - the atmosphere, service, wine and food all combined to make a very pleasant evening.
Visited here one lunchtime. Great value for the money & the noodle salad was great. My friend had the steak which was also good. Staff were polite and service was fine.
This restaurant is trying to impress but just doesn't get there. On the night we visited they squashed most patrons together at one end of the main area. There was a special dinner in the adjoining conference space so we had a constant stream of people walking past our table. Unnecessary as there was so much extra space. The food although tasty was not anything out of the box. My pork belly was far too fatty. Service was slow - too many people in the adjacent room and not enough staff.
Table of four, good selection of mostly local wines and meals ordered with ease as there was so much on the menu we wanted to taste. None of it disappointed especially our main meals - pork belly, beetroot risotto and a beautiful steak. Our delicious and lazy evening ended with an affogato each. This one is added to our list of 'must return'.
This restaurant is all that it should be - wonderful old building tastefully decorated, warm on a cold evening, friendly staff, a small menu that concentrates on what they do well with a reasonably-priced wine list of local Orange region wines .The blue-eye cod and pork belly options were well-cooked and presented, tasteful and about the right size. We did not have any entree or dessert so unable to comment on those.Long may this place thrive.
