Taqueria El Rey - Oklahoma City

One of my new favs! came with a friend who likes this place. I also love the salsas/condiment bar. nice staff too.

Good street tacos. I was not in restaurant, but visited the lkw on the 10th nw (I hope we talk about the same operation tacos were delicious and contain the half of a roasted jalepeno for some warmth, if desired (what I did, and liked). I have tried over a dozen Taco places in the city, and for total and toughness I would rank it in top 3 or 4.

Disgusting. I was thrilled to see machaca con huervos on the menu, and I ordered it. the court was absolutely unusable. machaca is (suitable) delicately shredded bark cooked with tweezing, paprika and seasoning, and iron, and what I got instead was chopped gristle. that wasn't just the worst machaca I've ever served, it was as far as the worst. there was no single edible bite in the approach. they were edible, but without taste. tables were dirty, decor is ashamed.

Arrived at around 9am on a weekday and ordered a breakfast burrito with an aguas frescas drink. Order came out quickly and the aroma was wonderful. The burrito was delicious and I could tell the tortilla was freshly made. In the background they had lively Mexican music. The waitress was was friendly and helpful. Place was well lit and very clean. Loved eating here. ?
