This is an excellent restaurant. The food was amazing, and the wine-pairing great. The staff was friendly and very attentive and had good knowledge about the food and wine. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Östersund!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. They offered delicious local dishes paired with top-quality wine. We sampled dishes like löjrom and reindeer, and everything was fantastic. I definitely plan on returning in the future.

We celebrated my brothers graduation here and had booked many months in advance. But somehow the order still got mixed up and we didn't get exactly what we ordered. The food tasted very good though but the meat (entrecote) was a little bit to chewy. I ordered a dessert, a brownie and I can say one thing about that: >Just because you put nuts on a mudcake you cant call it a brownie! The dessert was overpriced and quite tasteless I could even compare it to a storebought frozen mudcake.. My company wasn't very happy with the creme brulé either which was too runny and they even got sick in the evening.. So it was both a good and somewhat not so good experience.

Upstairs has a clear concept of serving good meat and they certainly succeed in this based on my dinner visit. Menu is concise with couple of appetizers but plenty of different cuts of meat to choose as a main course. Side orders and sauces can be freely chosen. My entrecote was delicious and grilled to perfection. Nice selection of wines by glass and for Sweden the prices aren't bad either. Nice and cozy country style atmosphere and very good service complete a very good experience. If you like meet look no further this is your choice!
