The waiter was unfortunately very unpleasant, not helpful at all. The food was clearly heated, so much so that my pork joint was mostly cold, however the plate was so hot that it couldn't be touched. The potatoes were clearly heated too. Not a pleasant meal, not a pleasant place and not pleasant service. Very disappointed.

Had lunch many times here because the options are scarce in that quarter. The food has always been average, with its ups and downs. The acoustic is absolutely terrible, with the waiters carelessly clinging with the dishes and cutlery all the time. Sometimes they had good periods getting really crowded at lunch, so they would raise the prices and make portions smaller. Then people stopped going there, they would take a step back and so on. The major problem is actually the service. For more than 20 years I've met only a handful of nice waiters. The large majority is inefficient, inattentive to requests and borderline rude. This is particularly shocking because the clients are in its majority regulars, people who live nearby, people who go there several times a week, sometimes everyday. And yet they always treat you like they're doing you a favor. Last week I was in real hurry, so the person I was with ordered a soup and I ordered a pork dish. The soup was ok but the pork tasted and smelled awkward, so I sent it back. The waiter just answered in rude manner that the problem should be me, because lots of people were having the same dish. I just asked for the bill, because I had no time left, and they charged me for the pork I didn't eat. The worse is that it didn't surprise me one bit, coming from them, and I think it just says it all. I just laughed, paid, and left. For good.

This is a fairly common type of restaurant you will find in Portugal, where the service is quick and the food is good. Try the Bife da Vazia na Frigideira and you will not be disappointed.
