Joe's Crab Shack - Oceanside

The view from our little table in the corner at the bar was great. Hubby and I went for Date Night and we had 2 cocktails and sampler plates and a captain's steam basket. Seafood was good, but a little salty. Don't forget to ask for lemon? The bartender was great and doubled as our server since we were in his section. Overall we spent about $150 and had a great time. Besides, I have to keep my cute piping glass.

Parking was terrible. had to park a good distance from the restaurant and pay the parking lot. That was disappointing! Food was great! The staff was great! First experience in this place and I must say I was super impressed. We could also get an amazing table.

Actually, I wasn't impressed by the food. I ordered the East Coast Platter that was good, but I expected great. But the Clam Chowder was absolutely amazing! It was tasteful with many pieces of shells. My daughter had the coconut shrimp that is not as delicious as Red Lobster's. I also ordered a $11 piece of chocolate cake worth every penny, plus the slice was huge! The 4 star rating was mainly due to the service. Jesse was fantastic! He noted our party of nine and answered every question we had. Overall, it was not a bad experience.

Eating for the first time. The restaurant is spacious and has a large bar area. We had a look at the port. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I am a seafood lover and enjoyed my steamed combo shrimps, mussels and shells. It was a fresh tasting. My husband had the combo needle plate. The parts were big.

Amazing hand down. The service excellent. Food was phenomenal. Worth every penny. Got a great view while we ate. Definitely a must try when visiting
