Aunt Jenny's Catfish - Ocean Springs

Beautiful view and great food. Ever since I was a little girl Aunt Jenny's has always been one of my favorite places to eat.

The food was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Mom is in a wheelchair and they got us right in to a great table. Thanks y’all. We will be back.

Aunt Jenny's is set in a quaint 1800 house and the dining room had a nice water view.The food is all about the fried food. The catfish was very good, fried nice and crisp; the shrimp could have been fried just a touch more but were good as well; and the chicken was outstanding awesome not covered in a thick batter but still nice crunch. The nice thing you order a large plate and if you want more they will switch it to all you can eat.

I 'm from Jackson, and outside Jackson there are catfish houses... Delicious catfish houses. You can get fried catfish or fried catfish. No one walks in asking about assorted seafood types. I can 't believe that the sign that says 'Aunt Jenny 's CATFISH HOUSE ' outside doesn 't clue people in that this place is about fried catfish, cole slaw (made with mayonnaise, oh the horror! and other fried southern items. I almost didn 't try this place based on the mixed reviews, but I 'm glad I did! If you enjoy FRIED SOUTHERN FOOD, try this place out. I 'd say get the shrimp and catfish. Crispy and both prepared with different coatings, one cornmeal based and one flour based. The view is beautiful, as well.

Good and bad. I have gone to Aunt Jenny's several times. The food is good but the service is slow and portion size is small. Two hush puppies per meal should be changed to an order on each table with refills. For the price the sizes should be large.
