Gogi Time - Oakland

The food is delicious! It's so enjoyable to cook together over a grill with your date. The fun atmosphere and delicious food make it a win-win for me every time.

The service at this restaurant was excellent, but overall it was disappointing. Additionally, it appeared that none of the ventilation hoods were functioning properly, resulting in a very smoky Korean BBQ experience. The smell even lingered on my belongings for days. The only tasty cuts of meat we had were the bulgogi and kalbi; the others seemed bland and almost mushy. Despite this, at $38 per person for all-you-can-eat, it was a decent value.

I had originally reserved a table for 18 people, but our group ended up growing to 30 or more. Gogi Time not only accommodated us graciously, but their service was excellent. They kept bringing us fresh meat orders and changing our grill plates regularly. Our team dinner was a huge success and we all enjoyed drinking soju together. We were seated in the quieter back room, which was perfect for our large group and other diners. I highly recommend Gogi Time for group gatherings, although I've heard they may be moving to a new location soon.

Typically, these places have large sides to you want to deviate from the meat so that they can store some. That's good, but these places were all under mediocre in my eyes. I was totally fine not to eat any of the pages, because I really didn't like them. I'm not so picky either. I'm my families? if they have food, they don't want it. The meat itself was O.K., nothing special, but average. The service was decent, our server was friendly and helpful.

As any rating says, this place is great! I love Korean BBQ and it's all you can eat, I need more! They cook the food themselves, this is just a fun experience with everyone. The short ribs and the Kimchi pancakes were probably my favorite thing we have. We also have the garlic pork belly, shrimp, brisket, sirloin. quite everything on the menu. Everything was fantastic. The service was also amazing. We never felt we missed food or wait for more. They also come to change your burner above, so it is always clean. If you really need to convince and not just for sure. Just go in front of the building and you? ll convinces by the amazing aroma of Korean BBQ food!
