El Nopal Mexican - Oakland

Hands down the BEST MEXICAN FOOD AROUND! Their homemade chorizo is absolutely incredible and the best I’ve ever had. Ask for Ana, she’s the pinnacle of service!

It was ok. My rice was very dry, so I could only eat the chicken &peppers on my dish.

I’m from Colorado and I have eaten Mexican food all over the South West, so pretty authentic and I would say I know what good Mexican food is. This place was terrible and you can get better food from Taco Bell or the like. I ordered a combo plate with a chalupa and they gave me a sloppy tostada and tried to tell me that’s how they make their chalupas. If that’s so the that’s even worse! We also ordered the queso fundido and it was just a lot of very greasy chorizo with very little queso. If you have to go out and eat Mexican in Oakland or the surrounding area just go to Street Tacos by Walmart. They’re pretty good and definitely the best place for Mexican in Oakland. Street Tacos is the only place in West Tennessee so far that I have found that comes even close to West Coast Mexican which, between them and Texas, is probably the best in America.

My family comes here every week at least once a week. The staff is wonderful! The food is wonderful! The drinks are wonderful!
