Bidrage med feedbackSo our family tried this for the first time and we will never be going back. We had the dinner chicken teriyaki, kids chicken teriyaki, caterpillar roll, shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura. Shrimp tempura only had 1 shrimp tempura. Both teriyaki dishes were bland yet elevated the sugar and salt levels dramatically (note: not for persons with diabetes and or hypertension) The worst part was the caterpillar; it fell a part, the skin of the eel was slimy and the avocado and rice tasted moldy. We all felt sick after eating a few bites and threw out the rest.
I had lunch on a Friday. I was graciously greeted by a young lady with a smile on her face and quickly sat; they were not overly busy. I am a sushi lover and ordered a mix of nigiri, te-maki, and appetizers. The portion sizes were absolutely perfect for me; not under sized as I tend to run into. The cuts of fish were fresh and absolutely delightful. The salmon nigiri in particular was smooth and buttery and the salmon skin te-maki was excellently balanced in regards to both texture and flavor. The chefs efficiency and product were worth noting and I will gladly experience it again. If you are looking for quality sushi for a reasonable price and to be treated kindly, you will love I Sushi.
I hate to leave a negative review, but this restaurant came very highly recommended. Today was our first time going here, we did a pick up order. The sushi was discolored throughout and had a very fishy smell for salmon, the steak was supposed to be medium rare but it was very well done. Everything tasted as if it had sat for quite some time. The fried rice was mushy and the vegetables were weren’t cooked all the way through. I’m not sure if we just went on a bad day or if we ordered at a bad time but I can safely say we will not be returning. I will say, the egg rolls were great and the staff was very nice when we called, the food just really dropped the ball for us today.
Small sushi spot in Oak Ridge TN. Menu isn't extensive, and there were a few house/basic rolls that were not offered. Service was decent, however our drinks weren't refilled until we flagged someone down to refill them. Place was clean, as were the bathrooms. Food was okay. I ordered an eel roll, crunchy shrimp roll, and a tuna roll. Menu made no mention of sauces on the rolls, so I was not expecting them. Had I known, I would've asked for the sauce to not be put on the crunchy shrimp roll. Ratio of protein to rice was good, and the tuna was very fresh. Prices are up, but that's everywhere now, so I'd say they're comparable to other restaurants of the same type. I would go back again, but I'd be clear about what exactly is included on the rolls.
Jacob gave exceptional service during our visit to I Heart Sushi. We always had full drinks and the food was served fairly quickly! The food itself was really good. I liked my sushi and my hibachi plate. The only complaint I have is that my fried rice was a little cold. Overall we had a great dining experience and we will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: Had a kid’s menu and they even gave the kids a treat at the end of dinner!Parking: Tons of parking
