Tokyo Grill At North York

Felt like a real izakaya, with small stands and absolutely fantastic foods. every dish we had was delicious and made us so happy! our server was really friendly and made us very welcome. overall the bill was really reasonable, it felt like a good value for food quality. I would come back if I lived in the opposite and definitely recommend!

My bf and I had always passed by this restaurant and wanted to try it. So I decided to come here and give it a try for the first time when we were in the area.We were promptly greeted and seated. Looked at the menu and decided we both wanted bento boxes, as because it was highly recommended by local reviews.I ended up getting the hamburger steak and my bf got the beef teriyaki bento. On the side we ordered the grilled octopus.To start off my hamburger steak bento was such a disappointment. There was two tiny small beef balls which didn't taste good and the rest of the bento was mainly RICE and three pieces of kaarage and small tiny salad and pasta salad.My boyfriend was a little better. His beef teriyaki was flavourful, but again, it was mainly rice as you can see from the pictures.Octopus was alright, but super tiny and definitely not worth $22.Overall, it was a disappointing food experience.

Was here a few weeks ago and the food was pretty good. The only thing is I had the Hamburg Steak Bento it was quite hard to chew on the bottom of the meat so I couldn't eat it all and it had too much ketchup covering the meat. Aside from those two things, everything else was great!

Firstly, I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant right after when I got in. It was a combination of Japanese and western design.I had the Pork Katsu Curry.Overall, I liked the taste of the food, however, it wasn’t the best I have had. I asked for some Sesame Oil which lifted the taste. So don’t forget to ask for it!Also, the staff were polite and nice.And the price was reasonable.
