Hawgz Blues Cafe - North Little Rock

The service was good. The manager was very nice and checked on us. The food is a little pricey for portion size. I ordered the catfish thinking it said 3 filets for 12.99 but I got 5 tiny pieces that were 2 or 3 bites each. My wife's nachos with pork were tasty. I hope they can increase the catfish portion size or they won't get many repeat orders at that price.

So this place is fairly new. I had to meet a client for lunch and they suggested this place. I always love trying new places so I was like heck ya... So let's start off by saying the location and building are great. but that didn't help the previous restaurants). Also the menu is very limited... apparently they are still trying to figure out a full menu... my opinion they need to get this menu down before expanding it. Ordered the BBQ nachos while waiting for my client to show up. When they arrived the cheese dip that was drizzled over the chips was cold left sitting to long waiting for pickup. The BBQ on the nachos was mediocre and full of fat and chewy pieces. So for lunch I ordered the catfish plate. This is the only thing that warranted this restaurant in getting the stars it did. The catfish was cooked perfectly and it had a nice breeding. The sides I choose was potato salad and coleslaw. Potato salad was good. Ranch dip based) and the coleslaw was blah... to much mayonnaise and no flavor. Overall food was descent and the service was super slow. Waited 15 mins to pay the bill once the check was dropped off at the table. I hope this place improves or this location will be looking for another tenant.

The smoked pork was delicious! The staff was wonderful. They welcomed me and my two dogs from the minute we entered the terrace. The entire staff ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. It is in a beautiful location and it was the perfect day to enjoy their terrace.

I was there Friday night for karaoke. I had a great time. The BBQ nachos were great. The birthday parties that were there looked like they had a lot of fun! The atmosphere was really funny. There was also a second dance floor with more fun! I'm back. I hear the fish plate is good too.

Here's the bomb! Super good food, great atmosphere, cheap prices. Even my aunt loves this place! She likes the pork slides, and I love turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich. They make these great big French french fries that are always hot, and go perfectly with my sandwich. You can go outside on the terrace, near the fireplace, and watch the traffic by. I think this is wonderful in autumn! Make sure you visit this place! I think you'll love it as much as I do!
