Bidrage med feedbackSuperb food and service in a fantastic setting at a very reasonable price. We went to celebrate a birthday and all really enjoyed it.
The outstanding customer service started a week before our booking! I contacted the restaurant to ask if they would be able to prepare a main course dish that was not on the menu. They were so helpful! Not only was the chef able to accommodate, but also offered to prepare my favourite dish being beef Wellington. On the day of the meal, the hotel telephoned to ask if my husband would also like to have the beef Wellington as well. I’ve never known such outstanding customer service.. we felt incredibly special from the outset. The entire experience on the evening was phenomenal! The service could not have been more attentive and the dining room itself .. beautiful, just stunning. The food is the pièce de résistance .. this was without doubt the best meal I’ve ever had in a restaurant, not just locally but anywhere. I started with the ‘Parsnip Thyme Velouté, Lardo Warm Soda’ which was absolutely delicious. Then came the main, the beef Wellington with truffle mash and jus which was just stunning. The presentation was a work of art, and the taste and flavours were just divine. This is my favourite dish and I have ordered it in many restaurants around the world over the years, none have compared to Washingborough Hall. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. This is not just a meal out, this is a dining and culinary experience you will not forget.
Super food as usual at Washingborough Hall, service and quality of food really great, always made to feel welcome as per usual.
We went to Washingborourgh Hall Hotel for an afternoon tea. It was a Thank you gift. We were greeted very welcoming and shown to our table. The decor of the room was smart and classical in style. The tables were all set with cloth table cloths and linen napkins The China tea cups and tea plates were lovely and all different from each other, even the saucers and cups. It was charming. The menu was very detailed . Perhaps a bit crammed in ? We chose our loose leaf tea first, then the waitress Amelia who had been very friendly went off to get our tea. The food was as pretty as a picture. We started at the bottom tier with the small appetizers. The sandwich fingers were full with with a slight twist on the usual fillings. The trout, cress and creme fraiche was delicious. The blue cheese and walnut ones were perhaps a bit too different for my elderly father, but my mum loved them. There were a further two fillings. The small cakes and Tiny tart were a treat The scones were among the best I have had. The jam and clotted cream soon disappeared but there was plenty for all of us. We took home what we couldn't eat then. Instead of a horrible plastic tub we took them home in a eco friendly brown bag.
We stayed the 3 nights and it was great. The weather was cold though. Nice room and excellent food menu.
