Bidrage med feedbackOur dinner at this restaurant was fantastic from start to finish. We were pleasantly surprised with a delicious amuse bouche of smoked fish with blueberry salsa while we waited for our appetizers. The fresh bread with red pepper roasted butter was a nice touch. The scallops and fish cakes were beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and incredibly tasty. Our main courses of cod in a cream sauce with saffron rice and vegetables, as well as mussels in a garlic/white wine sauce with garlic toast, were both exceptional. We ended the meal with warm blueberry crumble and the creamiest creme brulee we've ever had. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and not at all intrusive. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience and highly recommend this restaurant to others. We would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Wow! What a delicious meal!
The restaurant was delightful. It was refreshing to find tasty food that wasn't heavily fried. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the small touches like the Walnut bakery appetizer and fresh bread. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Our stay at Sugar Hill Inn was the highlight of our trip to Gros Morne National Park. The inn's central location allowed us to easily explore all the park has to offer. We dined in their restaurant twice for dinner and enjoyed breakfast every morning. The food was delicious and well-prepared, especially considering it was towards the end of the season. Special thanks to Bonnie for her friendly and helpful advice. We will definitely be back.
On the 16th august my wife and I had a booked dinner reservation in the chanterelles dining room in the sugar hill inn 115-129 sexton road in norris point, nl. on Friday night the in-house dining room was almost empty and two waitresses worked. of the...menu, my wife and I chose as an appetizer the plate of mustels, delicious, and for the main course we chose the catch of the day, which was a filet of halibut over pilaf reis, baby carrots and glazed brokkoli. our dinner was accompanied with a bottle of sauvignon blanc. as dessert we had cheesecake and a cup of coffee. our tellers were well presented and eating was delicious. the next morning, as we had accommodation here inn, we had access to the self-serving continental breakfast in the same dining room. we would rate our meal as 4 stars. this restaurant has a great potential that eating is delicious and the service we received this evening from our server was friendly and effective.
Stayed here and dined twice during a 10 day visit to Newfoundland with my wife. Chef Myles gave us different and consistently excellent main courses and apps each time. Scallops, lamb, cod puttanesca and the amuse bouche wow. The Inn was a great place...to stay, huge comfortable rooms, but the suppers at Chanterelles made it truly memorable.
