Enjoy a great Ruben sandwich for lunch after a morning of fishing. It was great. It cost every bite. Rustic atmosphere, friendly people, large portions, outside the picnic table.

Great food! Came down from Chicago for a fishing trip and ate lunch here everyday! Heidi greets each of her customers with a smile and the food is amazing. Her fried pies and cakes are amazing too!

Great place to grab lunch. Known for the Reubens but the other sandwiches are just as good. Always save room for dessert.

Due to COVID-19, it's currently only possible to enjoy takeout, but the food remains as delicious as ever. Don’t hesitate to order the fried cakes or pastries, even if you plan to eat them later—they're simply amazing! The owner and staff are incredibly friendly. Heidi's cakes are a real treat, and they have a delightful charm that makes them a well-kept secret.

This restaurant is fantastic! The sandwiches are incredibly juicy and delicious. I ordered the greens with potato salad, and even though I'm not usually a fan of potato salad, this one changed my mind—it was gone before I even started on my sandwich! My husband tried the fried bologna sandwich, which featured a generous slice of thick meat, as opposed to the usual thin Oscar Mayer slices that most people are familiar with. We also indulged in three delightful cakes: an Oreo cheesecake, a banana pudding cake, and a white chocolate cow cake. They were all amazing! We can’t wait to go back tomorrow (12/16) for the sandwich of the week, which is a mushroom and Swiss creation.
