Bidrage med feedbackThe food at this restaurant is excellent, as is the hometown customer service. Everyone is extremely friendly, but unfortunately the restaurant is struggling to attract enough customers and is at risk of going out of business. Please support this place and help it stay open. God bless this establishment.
I discovered this hidden gem of a diner just a few months ago, and I am thrilled that I did! The food is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. I particularly enjoy the French toast and the eggs/omelettes. The service is outstanding as well. It offers a warm and welcoming experience, perfect for someone like me who recently moved to the area.
Stopped here for breakfast and the food was amazingly good. You can tell it is a local's hangout because when we walked in, we weren't sure whether to just grab a table or wait to be seated and a couple of guys at the counter told us to just sit anywhere. Hubby ordered the biscuit gravy, with one egg, 2 pieces of bacon and hot coffee special. Since he doesn't drink coffee, they used my hot chocolate as part of the special. I ordered their off-menu item of blueberry pancakes. I was able to get the pancake in their standard size, which was a thicker, square pancake or their silver dollar size. I opted for the standard size. The place was super busy, with only one waitress and an older gentlemen helping out with cleaning the tables at times and seemingly only one cook. Friendly was super service, but because they were slammed, it did take a while for the food. I didn't blame that on lack of service though, it just was what it was. Food arrived hot and fresh. At first, I thought there were no blueberries, as there was nothing on the top of the pancake, as I have come to expect, but the I saw one lone blueberry baked on the outside of the pancake. It turned out that the berries were all inside of the pancake. There were some bites loaded and other bites which lacked berries. I would have liked a few more blueberries for my taste and maybe some whipped cream, but alas I have a sweet tooth. The cake itself was very good, not too heavy and nicely browned on the outside. It was very filling. Biscuits were very light, almost like a bread texture than a biscuit, which made it not so heavy and dense. Gravy was good with flavor and bacon was nicely crisped. Eggs were cooked well, not runny. The entire bill was $13 for a very good breakfast. Service was super friendly and we would definitely go back if in town again.
