Kibo Sushi House College - Newmarket

Had sushi here a couple of times now. It?s a nice set up inside the Upper Canada mall. I ordered the miso soup, soft shell crab, the chicken Gyoza, and the golden veggie roll. The soup was good and standard to most sushi places, the soft shell was great; crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside no fishy smell and came with a nice creamy dip. I felt it was on the expensive side with 10 dollars for one crab. The veggie sushi was also really good especiallythe fried yam layer. The steamed chicken gyoza was subpar and would not order it again.

Best sushi I?ve ever had!! I tried sushi at different places and I didn?t like any of them. I tried salmon tempora roll, butterfish roll and dynamite here at Kibo sushi and surprisingly, I loved each and every one of them!!! Sean is super knowledgeable and gave me lots of information and helped me pick the right sushi. It was an absolutely enjoyable experience. I will definitely come back! My experience with this restaurant is consistent. If you're looking for great Japanese food, go to kibo! They also have a brown rice option for $1.00 extra if you don't want white rice.
