Bidrage med feedbackWent Saturday afternoon for bottomless brunch. The food was amazing, best pasta I've ever had, the cocktails were fab, the staff were so helpful. Great experience will definitely be back soon.
We went last night for bottomless brunch and we actually left 40 minutes into the experience. Firstly we weren’t sat we were just told to seat ourselves, with the only available table covered in food and dirty napkins/glasses. They then gave us a drink (which we didn’t pick) which neither of us liked. The service was really slow but we finally ordered (I ordered carbonara and my partner ordered the chicken and ham hock pasta) and got our first drinks. The drinks were both awful, they tasted terrible and the selection available was all similar and no popular cocktails. I didn’t like any cocktails on the menu so reluctantly said I would upgrade for £5 to Prosecco as at least I knew I liked that. At this point we had not received the pasta crisps or garlic bread which came with the bottomless. The food then arrived and it was just appalling. The chicken and ham hock pasta my partner had ordered looked like a bowl of gravy with some ramen in it. We had assumed it would be in a creamy sauce but it was just like a brown broth. It had no taste to it and he couldn’t eat it so didn’t. My carbonara was completely tasteless aside from being incredibly salty, the bacon was utterly cremated on the top (and I like my bacon a little crispy) it was almost like dust it was that overcooked. I then as I took a mouthful removed a hard rock like ball from my mouth, which was solid and couldn’t be cut with a knife. Whether it was bone or just something else inedible remains to be seen. At this point we spoke to our waiter and explained that we weren’t happy, both meals were terrible and tasteless and the cocktails weren’t nice and we had not received the pasta chips or garlic bread. She went off to see the manager and took my plate with her (never to be seen again). They then rather defensively came over to aggressively tell me it couldn’t have been a bone, which we said okay well it was certainly not edible either way but it didn’t need an argument as to what it was. The waiter had come back at this point and said that we would still have to pay but she would waive the upgrade to Prosecco. At which point we were like, neither of us have eaten and the 4 drinks you have given us remain undrank on the table as they were horrible. The waiter then went back to the manager and said they couldn’t do anything aside from charge us for what we had had instead of bottomless brunch (which was two uneaten bowls of pasta and 4 drinks that were still full). We said this was unacceptable and the table next to us was in absolute disbelief as well with the lack of customer service. The manager then came over as requested and was defensive from the offset saying “Yes?!” Rather than offering any apology at all. He told us “what do you want me to do” and we said well we’re not happy paying for both bottomless brunches as mine had been taken away at the beginning of this so I hadn’t eaten anything, my partners bowl was full and we had had one glass of Prosecco. He explained he couldn’t comp anything and we would have to pay in full and then email afterwards to try claim some back which we were very uncomfortable doing as it shouldn’t be on the customer to chase and there was no guarantee we would get anything back. Then he insinuated that we were just “trying to barter to get everything cheaper” which was just ridiculous and poor for someone who’s allegedly a manager. He suggested we were nearly at the end of our 2 hour bottomless brunch (we were 40 mins in at this point with 15 spent arguing over the fact the food was inedible). Anyways finally after some very rude back and forth he said we could pay for one bottomless brunch as otherwise the owner wouldn’t be happy. They immediately brought the bill over which we were annoyed about as it felt like we were criminals and in the wrong. I said that we had 1 hour 20 left of bottomless brunch so can we pay at the end. They then said that they would have to discuss if we can stay with the manager again. They came back and said that if we were staying I wasn’t allowed any more drinks and if my partner ordered any it would have to be individual ones rather than a carafe ‘in case we shared them’ so they expected me to sit with no drinks while my partner finished the drinks he had paid for. Absolute disbelief at the situation I was so shocked after working in hospitality and customer service my whole life. The table next to us were just so blown away by them saying we could only order one drink at a time! Eventually the manager came and said he would charge us for two pastas but that meant that the bottomless would end then and the owner who we were told we would have to email had okayed it. I believe he only did this to get us out of the restaurant as we wanted to finish the drinks. Absolute worst customer service I’ve ever received and highly recommend to try bottomless brunch at somewhere better in the city like twenty twenty or turtle bay where you’re respected as a customer and not shouted at like a criminal! Sounds like someone else last night had issues with bottomless brunch as well according to the reviews!!!!
Booked bottomless brunch for 6:30, and wish I hadn’t. Our slot was meant to end at 8pm, but somehow we were there until 9pm despite only receiving one drink. Service was terrible and shocking, since we had pre-booked this you would expect them to be prepared for us coming and they weren’t. Only received two drinks the whole time we were there and one of them was a complimentary drink to start us off. For our next drink we didn’t get a choice in what we wanted and the waitress just gave us some random drink. Took 40+ minutes for our food to be cooked and although it was lovely, it’s an absolute joke that we should have to wait that long. Within the deal you’re meant to get garlic bread and pasta crisps. We didn’t receive the pasta crisps until I had to ask TWO staff members about it. The first lady said she would get them for us but after waiting 20 minutes they didn’t arrive. Then, a man came over and told us that our booking time was over however I argued that we hadn’t received our pasta crisps, his excuse was that we “should’ve asked him about it” although we couldn’t because he was constantly busy behind the bar. In my booking I also stated in the comment section this was for a friends birthday and asked if anything special could be done to celebrate it. The workers didn’t even acknowledge her or say happy birthday, yet another table received a birthday cake/dessert of some kind. Would not recommend, especially for the price we paid. 2 drinks is not bottomless drinks and not worth the money.
We paid for bottomless brunch but sadly only got two drinks of which we didnt choose either of them. within the bottomless brunch deal we paid for pasta crisps which we did no recieve until we asked TWO staff members. food was good, but staff didnt seem to care about the fact we paid for things which we didnt recieve. The fact we only recieved two drinks when its called bottomles brunch is a joke, we waited over 40+ mins for our food when we had only booked a 90 minute slot, wouldnt recommend, especially as we were celebrating a birthday.
Went for bottomless brunch for a birthday celebration, cocktails all absolutely disgusting, upgraded to Prosecco and that was awful too. Food of very poor quality. No atmosphere. Complete waste of money.
