Can’t recommend Emma enough she was a brilliant help to me and my friends, so friendly and supportive. Drinks were amazing and staff were so accommodating
We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm on a Friday. The bar was very quiet at that time, with only a few other people besides our party of 5. We tried to go back later in the evening but were told by the doorman that we needed to show ID to prove our age to enter. Since not everyone in our group had ID, we decided to go to a different place with a more lenient door policy.
I was shocked and appalled by the blatant racism and disrespect shown towards black individuals. It is unacceptable that door supervisors would turn away every black man under the guise of there being too many men in the club. Such a policy not only discriminates based on race but also raises serious questions about gender discrimination. Last night 's incident was not an isolated one. I have heard numerous accounts of how Jalou Newcastle mistreats the queer community, and unfortunately, I witnessed firsthand the extent of this discrimination. One of the guards made it explicitly clear that my race was the reason for my exclusion, stating, it’s your problem that you are a black man; we are sick of you lots. This kind of behavior is not only reprehensible but also creates a hostile and unsafe environment for patrons. No one should be made to feel unwelcome or inferior based on their race or sexual orientation
Went to Newcastle with the other half and son to watch the Newcastle match wore Newcastle shirt obviously afterwards I decided that I hadn't had a drink so was going to jalou to have a cocktail WOULD NOT LET US IN WHY BECAUSE WE WERE WEARING NEWCASTLE SHIRTS SO WONT BE GOING BACK would not recommend to anyone that supports Newcastle because it's obvious owners don't
