I recently stopped by for lunch at this restaurant after not visiting for several years. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of options on both the regular menu and the specials board. This place stands out as one of the few restaurants where the food tastes homemade, offering choices like mashed and boiled potatoes in addition to the usual chips. The meals were served on hot plates and the food itself was flavorful and satisfying. My only criticism is that the restaurant is only open for 2 hours during lunch and dinner service.

We went for a Sunday roast lunch with friends and it was excellent. The selection was great, the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The chef deserves compliments. The service was also excellent. We will definitely be coming back.

I celebrated my 50th birthday meal at this restaurant with 13 of my guests. It was a last-minute booking, but they went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was excellent, everything was hot and delicious, with well-organized and prompt service. I had the steak pie, which was amazing, as was my starter pudding. All of my family and friends also really enjoyed their meals. It was a great night, especially with a live band playing in the bar. Thank you to Karen and all of the staff for the wonderful service and delicious home-cooked food. I give it 5 stars.

One of my favourites places anywhere. Always warm and inviting, food is traditional and always spot on never fails.
