Oscar's Inn - Newark and Sherwood

Oscar's Inn and John, the Assistant Manager in particular, came to our rescue when a venue let us down for our family gathering, to celebrate our Ruby Wedding. We were able to have part of the bar area and had a wonderful buffet and pizza. The quiches were particularly delicious, as were the chips. The food was presented really well and served right on time. Thank you so much John for accommodating us and doing everything we asked for professionally and reliably.

We are regulars at Oscars and probally eat there at least once a week. This year we decided to go to Oscars for our Christmas lunch. 8 adults and a baby and 2 french bulldogs. The food was amazing-probally toooo much, the staff were incredible and the atmosphere fantastic. Some Christmas music would have been nice though. Well done Oscars

Came in for a birthday meal and it was beautiful. We didn’t book but food came out super fast. Supervisor was super nice and really welcoming

We ate here on the evening of the 7th May, table for 2. It was without doubt the finest meal we have ever had in a pub. Three courses cooked to perfection by a very able chef, all items scratch cooked and diligently put together, the manager who served us could not have been more welcoming and interested in our visit. We stayed one night in The Lions B&B and the combination of The Lions and Oscars was first class.

We booked a table here for Saturday lunch. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. The food was amazing and everyone in our party enjoyed every mouthful. One of our party ordered the pizza, however he didn't realise it was going to be so big! We will be back to share a pizza again soon.
