Lasagna Ristorante - New York City

For years I’ve walked past this restaurant, but never went in. Today I thought I’d finally give it a try. I thought it would be expensive (it WAS), but that a restaurant specializing in lasagna would be a treat (it was NOT). I had the “sirloin” (read: meat) lasagna and was VERY disappointed. I’ve enjoyed frozen Stouffer’s lasagna more than what was served to me here. It was bland, watery… nothing special at all. Dismal service as well… no one came to ask if everything was all right; my plate was cleared over 10 mins ago, but no one has come with the check. I will not be back.

I love this place so much, it’s a hidden gem that a friend of mine showed to me. i ended up getting the alfredo with chicken instead of shrimp because #allergic and baby. my spirit along with that garlic bread they served? amazing. the service here is nice too.

It was calm and quiet when we reserved and the warm lighting, soft atmosphere and spooky Halloween decorations felt nice. Our server was quick, easy to understand, very pleasant and made their energy boosted us and made us feel welcomed. The food was amazing. A very good separation of flavours, and was served hot with generous portions. The bread was also fresh, hot, and fantastically crispy.

Excellent service, the manager Kenny Adam and staff are so accommodating and attentive. Hosted a retirement lunch here it was the smoothest. They are great with communication, flexibility and working within your price budget. The lunch menu has so many options as well.

Delicious! The spicy penne a la vodka truly is hot! Had some delicious chocolate mousse and espresso after dinner as well.
