Bidrage med feedbackFood has never left me speechless until I came here for the first time last week. Oh. My. God. One of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had in my entire life!!!My boyfriend got the duck noodles I got a special which had sausage and so many yummy things in it that I probably can’t spell right. The service was SO fast and the hosts were so friendly.I can see why this place has rave reviews this was one of the most perfect meals I’ve ever had. Fantastic service, delicious food, and a really cool atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back!
There's always a line outside of Soothr and the hype is real. Everything we ordered was delicious! Recommend the duck spring rolls, the sukhothai noodles and their cocktails (ordered the special Plub Pla Chai, which is not always on the menu, it was fantastic first time trying a cocktail with persimmon)
My little group of friends love this place, but I always have a rush of social anxiety as I know the pronunciation is Sood not Sooth-er, but I don 't want to be that DORK that corrects everybody as I have literally never heard anyone else pronounce it Sood. I think I need to start standing on bidness though. All this to say, we came to Soothr fresh off a fasted 12pm hot yoga class which, in retrospect, wasn 't the best idea. It had been awhile since I 'd MOGGED everybody in Corepower, so I was walking out of the Noho location WOBBLED, with my mind body and soul ready to F up some Soothr. We arrived 10 minutes early for our res because these legs WORK, but were seated immediately. The interior here feels like I am entering somebody 's home ready to enjoy an authentic Thai family meal, like one of the homies mom 's is straight out of Thailand and just makes straight HEAT.We sat down at a little two top, but had enough space so as to have a little bit of privacy. I really don 't enjoy sitting at places that just CRAM two tops together where you have no choice but to listen to other people 's conversations, and you know they can 't help but listen to yours. It 's like you 're wearing a wire or sum idk. But yeah, Soothr didn 't do that so fairplay. We started with the Soothr Jeeb Dumplings, and agreed to share the Spicy Brasied beef Pad Krapow and the Shrimp Pad Thai.(Authors Note: Growing up, I LOATHED sharing entrees, but in my more seasoned years, I have come to LOVE it. After taking some personal inventory on why this is, I realized when you grow up with the savage that is my brother, there is no sharing plates. It 's a battle for every calorie. A war for every french fry. An absolute DOG FIGHT for the last slice of pizza. But, now, eating with normal civilized human beings, I realize you get to try 2 different entrees. It 's sensational. Especially when you are eating with someone who eats like a rabbit then you get extra food hehehehehhee.)The dumplings blew us away, as they were not like any I have come across. They were wrapped in an oval shape and almost flash fried, not deep fried. I 'm struggling to describe it so just look at the picture attached lmao. Be careful though they come hot, the homie burned the roof of her mouth but that 's lowkey a rookie mistake lmaaaoooo. This braised beef quite literally melts in your mouth, and was struggling to hold together when you grabbed it with your chopsticks. It was immaculate. It was divine. One of the best plates I have had over the past few months. The Shrimp Pad Thai was good, but not life changing. It was Pad Thai, you know? BUT there was ample shrimp on the plate. I hate when you get a shrimp plate and there are only like 3 of them, that 's highway robbery. We probably should have got the Pad Si-iw, but that 's on me. I 'll be better next time.I promise you, my dear reader, Soothr is worth the hype. If you just pronounced that Sooth-er in your head, check yourself. It 's Sood and I 'M STANDING ON BIDNESS FROM HERE ON OUT! I ONLY FEAR GOD!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov_
Great Thai restaurant in the heart of Manhattan, which was recommended by two different local friends of mine. It was a busy weekday lunchtime we visited, and it was bustling with people. All the dishes we ordered were great, and Tom Yum being the only dish that I cannot eat, Tom Yum here was a bit toned down compared to the one I had in Thailand, which was manageable, and it was actually pretty good. The staff was okay, they seemed to be all Thai servers, and might have been a bit too busy at times.I would come back again if I live in the area, but there are too many different restaurants to try in NYC :(Reservation is strongly recommended for busy times for lunch dinner.
Getting a resy is actually easier than I thought. I booked a week in advance and secured a table for two on Sun.* Chicken Khao SoiLISTEN, ORDER IT I love Northern Thai styled curry egg noodles and Soothr nailed it. The curry soup was deeply fragrant with spice and coconut milk. It came with both soft egg noodles and crunchy fried noodles, which fit perfectly well to soak up the rich stew. The chicken was tender with a slightly crispy skin. For me the spice level is tolerable, but take your own risk if you can’t handle anything spicy. It was so delectable that we finished it wishing for more.* Duck NoodlesUmm if I could go back in time, I would have saved my quota for other dishes and skipped this one. Indeed the duck breast was cooked to perfection, and there were a decent amount of meat 10 pcs! in our bowl. Yet the cold noodle wasn’t as flavorful as we expected. It tasted blend even after we mixed the soy sauce and toppings. Sadly I didn’t get the hype of this signature dish.* Plub Plai ChaiTheir autumn seasonal cocktail with a blend of cinnamon, chai and brandy. The recipe is an excellent fit for the fall season, yet my friend commented it tasted too alcoholic for her liking.* Mango SundaeNothing groundbreaking on this one, but it hit the mark with its sweet mango and well-cooked sticky rice. A delicious treat to end your meal, albeit overpriced $15 .
