Sapphire - New York

We made an early dinner before a show in the lincoln center. we were in sapphire a series of times at his previous location further down on broadway. the facility in the original restaurant was much more interesting and elaborate; it had the feeling of india. this was a generic type of space, but the tables were well punched out and we were there. eating was very good. we had lasuni gobi for a starter and then were main courses tandoori prawns and lammsaga. the prices were appropriate for the contrary. service as excellent. recommend when you live in the environment or participate in a performance in the lincoln center.

The room was wonderfully quiet, the service excellent, the eating tasty, but not too spicy.

As usual a most pleasant meal. that was great. three dishes each delicious and perfectly cooked

Great place for Indian food and they actually listen to them when they ask for mild. helpful and delicious food.

The service was abominable. Host and maybe 2 waiters for a packed restaurant. Tables were so close together you couldn’t get in or out without disturbing the people next to you. We had a 5:45 reservation and an 8:00 curtain at Lincoln Center. We barely made it in time for the concert. The waiter took our order and disappeared. Every time we asked when our food was coming he would say he will check and never came back to tell us. There is no ambiance in the restaurant. Food prices went up and portions got smaller. Never going back there. We used to love Sapphire in the old location.
