Bidrage med feedbackI found it challenging to write this review, but I believe it's important to share my thoughts on my recent dining experience. My visit to this restaurant was a mix of positive and negative aspects. To start with, the wine selection was impressive and the service at the beginning was good. The food was satisfactory, although it didn't stand out as exceptional. However, the main issue for me was feeling rushed during my meal, which started at 8:15pm and ended abruptly by 10:30pm. Despite holding two Michelin stars, the dishes were served too quickly and the staff seemed hurried towards the end of the meal. I had to ask for a $900 bottle of wine to be corked because my dessert arrived before I finished my main course, despite my request to wait. In my opinion, a restaurant with two Michelin stars should prioritize either exceptional food quality or providing a complete dining experience that leaves guests feeling relaxed and content, rather than hurried and somewhat unsatisfied. Although the restaurant had a pleasant ambiance, my experience did not meet the international standard expected of a two Michelin star establishment. I cannot say for certain if something was amiss on the night of my visit, but I would not recommend this restaurant to those expecting the standards associated with two Michelin stars.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this upscale restaurant. The food was delicious, with all the essentials done exceptionally well. The ingredients were top-notch and the dishes were prepared perfectly. The wine menu had a variety of options to choose from and the atmosphere was both comfortable and luxurious. Although the menu was not overly bold, the dishes were expertly crafted. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal. Food: 5/5
Liked most of the dishes except for the last two dessert courses. Fine dining at its best. Service was attentive. Not many seats, view of the open kitchen. Well paced.Food: 5/5
Atera is such a beautiful and intimate restaurant that serves a tasting menu so I had to try it out! One of my favorite parts of the experience was the N/A pairing, it was one of the best pairings that l've had. Each drink elevated the dish that it was paired with and also tasted great, my favorite was the raspberry with basil ice cream.Sadly, I have mixed feelings on the food. In my opinion the menu wasn't very cohesive, the order of things was interesting and by the end of the meal I was left underwhelmed. The second, and fourth courses seemed like they should've been canapés and a lot of the courses that included caviar seemed like it was just for the presentation because they added such a little amount that it didn't add anything to the taste of the dish. One of the most disappointing parts of the meal was the chicken, there were only 2 bites that were edible, the rest had the most odd texture that led to it not being able to be chewed.Looking back, there was one memorable dish from the meal which was the crab ravioli, it was so delicious.
Absolutely. Incredible. One of the best meals of my life. Tiny venue, dark and moody. Impeccable staff, befitting of two stars they nail the details, like recognizing immediately that I'm left handed and placing utensils accordingly. Each course was unique and superb. The food is gorgeous, but I highly encourage taking the two hours to disconnect and just experience the meal; stepping out of the restaurant, I'm still floored.
