El Gato Negro - New Orleans

We loved this restaurant! The steak tacos were wonderfully seasoned and the homemade corn tortillas were delicious. The staff was very warm and attentive. Very authentic with a wonderful backstory about the history of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped in for a quick app and drink. We were completely blown away. They knew so much about the tequila flavors, it was great. Everyone was so friendly and service was on point. Julie was our bartender and she made our stop nice.

Great service and the best Mexican food in NOLA. Guacamole-spectacular! HUGE, right out of the Gulf of Mexico shrimp grilled to perfection for the fajitas. Highly recommend!

Moved to New Orleans three years ago. I don't know a thing about Cajun food...but when it comes to Mexican cuisine, I'm practically a connoisseur. El Gato Negro is the finest in the city!!!

The blackberry margaritas were fantastic! And the shrimp enchiladas were very good too! The staff was friendly and attentive to our large party and everyone had a great lunch.
