Bidrage med feedbackVery Good **** Mary! I didn't like they put the salad on the plate with Pasta Roma! They do not mix well together and I don't like my food to touch! I always thought the Salad comes in a bowl separate from the main dish!
They add a convenience fee for using cash vs. credit card... The food is ok but lunch was overpriced.
We went for dinner- had the sausage and peppers, house salad and a Detroit pizza. For dessert the hummingbird cake and peanut butter pie. Sausage and peppers were excellent. House salad for $5 was good because they used quality lettuce and the house dressing was very tasty- like a sweetish vinaigrette. The Detroit style pizza was nice- authentic cheese, good sauce and crust. The desserts, literally the best part of the meal. Not sure where they source those but they were excellent. Loved the food. I agree the 3 percent credit card fee is annoying- I don’t blame them per se but maybe they should rebrand it as ‘5 percent discount for cash.’ They would still come out ahead because nobody pays cash anyway. The kitchen tip- which is not expected per the menu- is just bad business. Pay your kitchen staff a living wage. You can’t expect the customer to tip the server, pay the card fee, pay extra for more bread AND tip the kitchen staff. Maybe the owner is just a nice guy that wants to get more for his staff. But it looks bad. But I would go back for the food. It’s worth it. Service was great as well.
We had the BEST dinner experience at Brewster's last night. The food was exceptional as always, but the service stood out on so many levels. I made a reservation through OpenTable earlier in the day. We had a meeting with a contractor at our house that kept running long, so I had to push the resy back twice. The person I talked to for the reservation change was polite, friendly and super accommodating. I work in hospitality and know how last minute changes can disrupt things. Your team was flexible and understanding. So impressive. Our server, Melissa, was phenomenal. As we ended being a later reservation (and the last people in the restaurant) not once did she make us feel rushed. She was knowledgeable about the menu, walked us through each item on the charcuterie perfectly. She was so pleasant and interactive with us at the perfect level. This next part will stand out in my mind for years to come. Two minutes after leaving, I received a phone call. It was our server. She said she thought I might have dropped some cash on the floor (kind of a substantial amount call me old school, I like to pay in cash when I can). I probably wouldn't have noticed for a few days and it would have been impossible to trace my clumsiness back to that dinner. I was so impressed by this. We are already Brewster's fans, but even more so now. We will be lifelong Brewster's patrons and will send people your way whenever we can. Thank you to Melissa and team for the above and beyond service. (Not to mention, she told us dessert would be on the house as we were celebrating a special occasion... this was totally unnecessary, but another thing that stood out about this experience). Totally impressed.
Awesome experience. Service was amazing, as was food and cocktails.
