A Great little restaurant with a Cape Verde flair. I was very pleasantly surprised at the sauce served on my steak and eggs. Quick, inexpensive and a throwback to breakfast shops and diners of my youth (again with a spicy little kick).
This is home cooking at its finest! the food. the people. the vibe, immaculate amd amazing.kudos to the owner and staff ?
Good food, best French toast I've ever had. Cashier/waitress was nice. Too pricey for what you get.
We wanted to try something a little different for breakfast and Izzy’s fit the bill perfectly. The place isn’t much to look at: it’s a family-run diner a few blocks from the harbour, but it delivers authentic Cape Verdean dishes that taste great. We had the jag (rice and beans) with sausage and eggs and the cachupa (hominy, cassava, beans and sweet potato hash, also topped with eggs and sausage. Fantastic and the price was very reasonable. Even though they were short-staffed, service was hospitable and efficient. If we had more time locally, we would’ve happily gone back to try the dinner menu.
