Bidrage med feedbackWe have visited the abbey previously and the grounds and buildings are well worth visiting. This month invited by friend for lunch we checked the website and menu and, knowing the location had high expectations. Booked for 13.00 and the place was reasonably full, but...this meant we were the very last table to leave consequently staff were more interested in clearing and re setting than attending to our needs. This is almost certainly why with the 3 or 4 course menu I was not offered the cheese option but they simply brought out the platter of gourmandises which was disappointing. We had a range of choices 1 x 2 course, 1 x 3 4 course and 2 x 1 course. Overall the menu was OK, but nothing out of the ordinary with the main course being a choice of cod, Cabbage farci or lamb shanks. Bizarrely the 25 euro menu offered 2 choices of starter, 2 mains 3 desserts while the 35 euro menu offered no choices at all. The cabbage farci was OK but essentially just a piece of slow cooked pork wrapped in a cabbage leaf. The lamb shanks were OK but a little on the tough side.....we slow cook these at home regularly and the meat melts off the bone disapppointing that we can do this better at home! Wines OK but all from the Abbey so wider choices would be an improvement. Service was ok but again nothing special. Value I'd say was poor given the prices and overall experience In comparison this menu if in Toulouse would be much less expensive and frankly the choices in Toulouse that much better. Overall a somewhat disappointing experience and hard to recommend it we'd be unlikely to return.
We were 4 prs who visited this restaurant in early September. It really was a good and delicious experience! The food and service were top dollar The surroundings in the restaturant are very beautiful. We definitely recommend this place
Excellent service for a Baptism meal was of great quality, just as the pastry present on site and the staff. We highly recommend this place.
Dined at the cold table and with great pleasure we enjoyed excellent dishes with original flavors. The foie gras in the heart of dry ham is delicious. The excellent turbo and the cane fillet sangria sauce a pure delight. To finish the strawberry mousse with confit olives and its rosemary tile an artifice fire of flavors in the mouth. This place is a must. The staff is very professional and especially pleasant.
Perfect reception with smile and professionalism in a very pleasant setting. the proposed restoration is sought and varied. a good table in an exceptional site which is rare. a recommendation.
