Herald And Devoy - Naas legal town

My family and I recently ate at the Osprey Hotel's Herald and Devoy Restaurant for a special get-together. We chose the Confirmation menu for our group of 18 and were thrilled with the tasty and skillfully made dishes. Every member of my family was impressed with the top-notch quality of the food. The service was outstanding and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any type of event.

I had made a reservation about an hour ahead of time and the service upon arrival started off excellent. We were promptly seated and the woman who escorted us to our table was wonderful. The waiter, whose name I did not catch, was also great as we placed our orders for food and drinks. We had no problem providing our IDs when asked. However, a manager came over and began questioning us, implying that we might not be the individuals shown on our IDs, which was quite offensive. He also asked his staff if we were only there to drink, rather than to eat. Just because we are young men does not mean we should be treated disrespectfully, especially after being polite to the staff and making a reservation to dine after work. The manager continued to watch us as we ate, making us feel uneasy during what was supposed to be a relaxing lunch. Despite this unpleasant encounter, the food was absolutely amazing and everything else was spot on.

Had a fantastic meal here- every course was delicious and the cheeseboard at the end is definitely worth leaving room for! Really surprised by the negative reviews on here as I ate here 3 times over the course of our stay and had good service and good food every time

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Came here about two weeks ago for a meal and it was a train wreck from the start. took 15 minutes after being seated for the waiter to come and take our order. then cutlery and water was given after that. 15 minutes later the waiter comes back to tell us the bottle of wine my boyfriend ordered wasn’t available so he ordered a different one. still no sign of my drink until a lady who turned out to be the manager slapped it in front of me about 25 minutes after ordering it, no apologies for the delay. another 15 minutes go by and our starter came, still no sign of the bottle of wine. starter of stuffed mushroom was inedible. finally my boyfriend decided to just pay for the starters and my drink and asked the waiter for the manager. no sign of her so he had to call her over himself and she was hardly apologetic at all and seemed clueless, can’t believe she actually charged us for the starters. avoid at all costs. went to rustic instead and had a lovely meal with amazing service.

A really pleasant dinner with good food and friendly service went on a Saturday night with family for a low key evening. Recommend the beef daube and chicken supreme!
