Bidrage med feedbackVisited for the first time on Valentine's Day yesterday evening and we were so glad that we decided on this place! so much food and our meals were great. we had the stuffed garnel and the steak with the side of the french woof and salat. I was so surprised how good the house salad was! our server cat was so friendly and attentive. we will definitely come back!
I'll say the restaurant is something on the darker side, but that's not a scary one. service was good. I have a soda and had many refills. the fish and chips were good, but I had better and worse. what I enjoyed most was the clam chowder and caesar salat. the chowder had a lot of taste without fishy taste at all. the salat was good and had the right amount of dressing.
Return to the time for a restaurant experience that keeps the spirit of jateryear alive. the steak loft is a more comfortable, quiet and pleasant place to share a meal with your favorite. the stuffed garnels were wonderful and made my grandmother so happy to see them on a menu (she is looking for a place that serves them for years! . the service was friendly, the eating delicious and the overall experience wonderful. is it a new place that redefined its favorite kitchen? but if they lean on the old charm, character and cozyness of a bygone annoy, they can find this place, as fantastic as we are.
Yum! I cooked the way I asked. drinking were made stronger here than likely anywhere I ever was. the total price. we went with quite the rowing baptism and our waitress could not have been nicer or more patient. can not wait to try my next meal
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW I can totally understand the mixed reviews and if we had only eaten here the second visit, I would never return. We were in Mystic for 2 days, we ate dinner here on Sunday evening and everything, I mean everything was fantastic. The steak, the sides, the desert, the salads, namely the Grain Salad could not have been better and the service was excellent. So good in fact we went back on Monday for lunch, just for the Grain Salad. Yes it was that good! However, round two was somewhat of a Murphy 's law visit. Just about everything was wrong. Firstly, the girl at the door was more than rude. The same salad that delivered amazing presentation and taste the evening before was now some kind of uneventful, thrown together bunch of greens missing half the ingredients. The cheesecake was, well, let 's just say it didn 't get eaten. However I want to note that we took home a carrot cake that was excellent. The flour-less chocolate tort is also amazing. We eventually spoke to the manager who was very polite and understanding. Apparently there was nothing 'wrong ' with the cheesecake, it was just the taste of that vendors recipe that they would no longer be using. The issue with the salad was apparently a new untrained chef whereas the person who made it the night before had to be moved to line cook due to staffing shortages. So the end result is, this place has some damn good food. Very reasonably priced. Great portions and wonderful service. As long as the right people are working when you go. If you have a bad experience, tell them but give them a second chance. Well worth the visit, will definitely eat here again on our next trip.
