The Alley - Murray

This was my birthday dinner. My husband order the cowboy steak and ordered it medium. When our food came my husbands steak was burnt on both sides. He sent it back by the time his food came back I had finished my lobster so he took it to go. We were not offer desert but they did adjust the bill so we were only charged half for the steak. This was the first time we had had a bad steak.

Restaurant had two large parties and once they were seated our waitress was MIA. Did not have mint or vermouth for drinks. When asked about our entree they were brought out but presentation was terrible and food did not taste good shrimp was rubbery.. Salmon was charred not blackened. Noodles and veggies looked like they had sat under warming light for way too long. Manager came over and we told him it was not good. He comped our food. Won’t be back anytime soon. Unfortunate since this restaurant is the only one of its type in town. Have to drive 1-2 hours to find something similar. Had takeout at Applebee’s night before and food was so much better than at this upscale place.

This was our first time at The Alley. We chose it for our Anniversary dinner, which I posted on Open Table when I booked. We walked through a large room that was maybe 1/4 full before being seated at a very back table in a separate room overlooking the bowling alley. Not a very nice spot. I had the lobster tails. They were really tough and not good. My husband’s swordfish was mediocre. We had ordered the cheddar garlic mashed potatoes, which were very lukewarm. After complaining, they brought out a new bowl, but again, just lukewarm with not much flavor. When the waiter asked how our food was, we both said mediocre at best. They deducted 10% off of our bill. We were not trying to get a discount, just telling the truth. It was not a good experience, and we do not plan to go back.

Wonderful evening at the Alley. Food, ambience, service all excellent and we enjoyed the extremely talented Todd Hill’s musicality!!

We had the Prime Rib and bone in ribeye both were excellent both were cooked as ordered! Service was outstanding, wine selection could be a little better. The sides were also great
