Bidrage med feedbackThis is a nice quiet caffe, ideal for relaxing and often busy. the personal is delightful and offers a delicious selection of snacks and drinks.
I regularly visit the bodhi tree with friends and alone. I find it very welcoming. the personal is warm, attentive and well maintained and I love the chai latte that is always available. the reason I say that is that it is not excessively sweet and beautiful and hot as I like it. I love to browse through the books, cards and gifts in the load and I think we are really happy to have such a beautiful place to spend some time. during the winter it is definitiw the place they want to be, as it is warm in some other caffes thanks to heating and carpet and none of these noisy clinching sounds. many thanks to bodhi Tree staff.
What happened to the bodhi tree? Previously I visited in past days and it was a living, friendly, inviting place with good eating and a great selection of interesting books, etc. today was the third bad experience and since I. a 3 streiks opera and she 're out policy, it will be the last. the first bad experience was good over 30 minutes on a simple dish with salad when it arrived, it was stone cold. after warming with not even an excuse returned. the second was similar that I saw how others were eating her before me, although I had arrived first. but today the icing had arrived on the cake, went to the counter, was asked if I wanted to see a menu when I said no I know what I want, the dame behind the counter said, I have to go and answer to the phone that leaves me a because, until a chap came over and took my order. eating when it arrived was hot (nice change,) but there is a serious lack of customer service / training in this caffe and a business can only survive for so long on its earlier call. I will not return for one.
That was packed with every table we took to lunch. we have managed to get a table in a very cramped position (no covid ditancing here). it was all down hills from there the salat (not made on the ground) was sold out....The mushrooms with egg and spinat was so tender on the toast it was terrible. also the green tea in pot has not covered the leaves, so of course no color and no taste. when I asked if they could strike a bit of hot water to cover the leaves, they not only pour over it, but then they forgot to give them back at all. even the little milk boy had a terrible chip and cracked through him. would not recommend and super expensive to boot!
I went into The Bodhi Tree in December 2019 for the first time to look for a particular book. Although they didn't have it the staff member insisted they could order it in for me, which I decided to do. The person who assisted me...took my number and said they would call me when it arrived, in around 3 weeks time as it was the festive period. Fast forward 2 months and I hadn't heard anything so I decided to call them to ask about it's ETA. The person on the phone was rude and could not have been less interested in my query. Said they would call me when the book had arrived, no apology or explanation whatsoever. 3 weeks later, I still had not heard a thing from them so I called them again. Once more, I am spoken to like I am an inconvenience for purchasing something from their store and told I will receive a call later that day when she has chased it up with the supplier. Guess what...... four days later I'm still waiting. A weird shop with a weird vibe and the worst customer service I have received in some time.
